Meadows at Mercy Creek assisted living community, located in northeast Normal, has been acquired by Franciscan Ministries, sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago.
“Our rich history and Mennonite values have steadily guided our ministry at Meadows for the past 95 years,” said Mary Dyck, Meadows Board Chair. “After much research, prayerful consideration, and asking many, many tough questions, we are confident that Franciscan Ministries will carry the Meadows mission forward.”
“We are excited to add Mercy Creek to our steadily growing family of Franciscan communities and look forward to working with the associates and residents in the next chapter of the community’s history,” said President and CEO Judy Amiano. “We look forward to continuing the ministry that was started by the community nearly six years ago.”
Franciscan Ministries is working to create a smooth transition for the Mercy Creek associates and residents, while strengthening existing connections within the Bloomington-Normal community. For branding purposes, Meadows at Mercy Creek will be renamed “The Village at Mercy Creek” to better align with the current Franciscan Communities portfolio of senior living properties.
Meadows Mennonite Retirement Communities looks forward to a positive and ongoing relationship with Franciscan Ministries and The Village at Mercy Creek.
